Daily Health Screenings

Daily health screenings for students, including temperature checks, must be completed at home by families and by school-based staff.  School-based staff and students cannot report to school if they have:

  • Experienced any symptoms of COVID (chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea), including a temperature of greater than 100.0°F, in the past 14 days;

  • Have gotten a positive result from a COVID test that tested saliva or used a nose or throat swab? (not a blood test)

  • In the past 10 days, been in close contact (within 6 feet for at least 10 minutes) with anyone who tested positive for COVID or who has or had symptoms of COVID.

  • Traveled internationally or from a state with widespread community transmission of COVID per the NY Travel Advisory in the past 10 days?

The online health screening application can be found here: healthscreening.schools.nyc/

Responsibilities While in the Building

We have put safety procedures in place to keep our students and staff healthy.

  • Mask-wearing: As of Monday, March 7 face coverings will become optional indoors, outside, and on school buses. Anyone who chooses to wear a mask may continue to do so, and your child may request a mask from their school if they need one.

  • Handwashing: Students and staff are expected to wash hands thoroughly before and after eating, after using the bathroom, if exposed to body fluids (like saliva or a sneeze), and at other times necessary throughout the day.

  • To maintain the safety of our staff and students, we will continue to practice strict COVID-19 protocols, including increased ventilation, a daily health screening, and test kit distribution.

  • Visiting our school: We are limiting visitors to the school during this time. Parent and community volunteer and in-person tutoring have been suspended until further notice. Most parent-teacher conferences and other meetings can be held virtually. All visits must be pre-approved and scheduled with the office.

  • While in the building: Any staff member or student returning on Day 6 following a positive COVID-19 diagnosis or after having COVID-19 symptoms without testing is still required to wear a well-fitting mask at all times on school property through Day 10.

  • Illness: Students and staff exhibiting signs of illness or having a fever of greater than 99.9°F must stay home. If your child is NOT fully vaccinated and was exposed to COVID-19 outside of a school setting, your child must quarantine for at least 5 days; this is reduced from 10 days. If your child is fully vaccinated and was exposed outside of school, your child can continue to attend school so long as they do not have any symptoms. These students are required to wear masks while on school grounds, and students who were exposed must wear a well-fitting mask such as a KN95, KF94, or a cloth mask over a disposable surgical mask on Days 6–10.

The City Hawks Unified Soccer Team has created online stores for both 721M and Harvest Collegiate High School.  The school communities can show their school spirit and support by ordering school merchandise.  All items will be shipped directly to the home.

This year, all funds raised from both catalogs will be donated by the team to Special Olympics New York.  Our student-athletes are very grateful to have represented New York State at Special Olympics USA Games at Disney in Orlando, Florida, June 6-10, and returned with gold medals.

 They choose to do this fundraiser so that other students across the state can have similar opportunities.

When placing your orders, please give credit to one of the following students, as they will earn prizes for reaching specific sales numbers:
